This is my new Ubuntu Server. It contains 4x 2 TB Western Digital WD20EARS in RAID-5, 2x 1 TB Samsung HD103SI, 2x 750 GB Western Digital WD7500AADS in RAID-1 and a 250GB Fujitsu boot drive. I have a new HBA (host bus adapter), a lightly modded Supermicro AOC-USAS2-L8I 6Gb/s Eight-Port SAS Internal RAID [...]]]> ubuntu server inside

 

This is my new Ubuntu Server. It contains 4x 2 TB Western Digital WD20EARS in RAID-5, 2x 1 TB Samsung HD103SI, 2x 750 GB Western Digital WD7500AADS in RAID-1 and a 250GB Fujitsu boot drive. I have a new HBA (host bus adapter), a lightly modded Supermicro AOC-USAS2-L8I 6Gb/s Eight-Port SAS Internal RAID Adapter. Also added 4GB Kingston ValueRAM, giving a total of 8GB. All this in al Antec Three Hundred gaming case.
